If you’re looking for an attractive way to mount a light fixture over your aquarium but don’t like the options currently available, try making your own. We often see hobbyists taking matters into their own hands when there isn’t a suitable commercial product available. And as far as light mounts go, it has become quite popular to use conduit and just bend it to a certain shape. Then the conduit is painted to prevent corrosion, mounted to the aquarium, and lights are suspended over the tank. This is a simple, cheap solution that actually looks great if done properly. And best of all, the DIY mounts are essentially universal in their application.
